The Korea Muslim Federation is the principal halal certifier in South Korea. Korean food, cosmetics and pharmaceutical exporters targeting Malaysia and ASEAN commonly require JAKIM-recognised certification.

JAKIM publishes a list of Recognised Foreign Halal Certification Bodies (FHCB), and recognition attaches to the certifying body rather than to the country.
